What is it?

This is a training programme aimed at the Flooring retail and wholesale sector.

It will provide participants with knowledge of:

• Carpet types, pile types, production, uses and consumer benefits.
• Resilient products, types, uses and consumer benefits.
• Flooring product care and maintenance for performance.
• Installation methods used to meet industry standards.

The Flooring Fundamentals programme comprises of three elements:

• Pre-reading of course material prior to attending one-day course.
• Attending a one-day course at the National Flooring School in Christchurch, which will include assessment tasks.
• Completing workplace tasks upon return to the workplace.
